WHERE TO EXPLORE

Corfu is full of natural beauty, coastal charm and slow-living experiences. Here are some of our favourite ways to explore the island:

Swim at the best beaches

Corfu is known for its beautiful beaches, each with its own vibe. Palaiokastritsa has dramatic cliffs and turquoise coves (great for swimming and snorkelling), while Agios Gordios and Glyfada offer long sandy stretches with laid-back beach bars. If you're up for exploring somewhere more secluded, head north to Rovinia Beach or Porto Timoni and take your walking shoes!

Hire a boat & spend the day snorkelling

One of the best ways to see Corfu’s hidden beaches is by boat. You can hire one (no licence needed for small boats) in Palaiokastritsa or Ermones and spend the day hopping between swim spots! Alternatively, jump on a boat tour, or find a skippered boat on Click & Boat.

Take a hike (literally)

Corfu has some beautiful walking trails. For something scenic but not too demanding, try the trail from Lakones down to Palaiokastritsa, or a coastal walk near Afionas to Porto Timoni beach. Check out AllTrails to see the options.

Enjoy a spot of wine & olive oil tasting

Corfu’s countryside is dotted with family-run wineries and olive groves, many of which offer relaxed tastings and tours. Try Ambelonas Estate, Theotoky Estate, or Pontiglio Winery for a sip of local wine goodness. For olive oil, Governor’s Olive Mill is one of the most respected on the island, alongside Dr. Kavvadia’s Organic Farm for a taste of small-batch, cold-pressed goodness.

Play a round of golf

The Corfu Golf Club, set in the Ropa Valley near Ermones, is peaceful and well-kept with a beautiful, natural setting. Clubs and carts are available to rent, and it's open to visitors.

Pop over to Albania

Yes, really. You can catch a quick ferry from Corfu Town to Sarandë, Albania (about 30–70 minutes depending on the boat). It’s a fun day trip if you want to add a passport stamp and see another coastline. Bring ID/passport and check ferry times in advance.
